Childcare voucher scheme
Deductions from your salary can be made for Childcare vouchers, for registered or approved childcare (up to the age of 16). These vouchers are tax and National Insurance free, meaning you may be able to save up to 33% of your childcare costs.
Occupational health and wellbeing services
We have a comprehensive occupational health and well-being service which includes provision of physiotherapy, a counselling service, free eye tests and health awareness sessions. Sick pay entitlement is also generous, giving up to six months full and six months half pay after one years’ service.

All permanent staff, after completion of a successful probationary period, are eligible for a travel pass loan (subject to availability).

Location and our working environment
Your post will be based at one of our locations in either Merseyside or Cheshire. Some travel may be required as part of the role and some posts work across both Merseyside and Cheshire. The location of your post will be stated in the relevant job advert.
Probationary period and progress review
All roles are subject to a probationary period of six months. The probationary period is in place to ensure new members of staff settle in well and receive the induction and support they need. It is also a good opportunity to review progress and establish mutually agreed targets for the first six months. During the probationary period there are two progress reviews - one at three months and one at six months.
All roles within the organisation have a single spot salary per annum, paid calendar monthly. Salaries are paid on the 18th of each month.
Essential car users / Casual users
Posts advertised as Essential Car Users will be paid an allowance of £1,100 per annum. Casual / Essential users MUST be covered for Business Use Insurance and can claim £0.45p per mile. Mobile phones or hands free kits are not permitted.
Hours of work
Standard hours of work are 35 hours per week (unless otherwise stated in the job advertisement). A Working Time Policy is currently in operation. Core hours are 10am to 3pm and flexible hours are 8am to 10am and 3pm to 8pm. Due to the nature of some posts, they may not be eligible for flexible working (i.e. set working hours).
Annual leave provision
Full time annual leave allowance is 25 days per annum (pro rata for part-time staff). Annual leave is calculated on an individual leave year running from your start date. One day extra leave will be given for each year of service up to a maximum of 5 days (pro rata for part time staff). Plus Bank Holidays and three days concessionary leave taken at Christmas.
Two months’ notice for all employees, and three months for senior managers.
