Plus Dane is on target to deliver nearly 200 new homes over the next financial year.

We are now expecting that a total of 197 new builds will be completed by the end of March 2018 – which is an increase on our original target of 180.

Nearly 100 of these new properties have already been handed over, and some completed developments, including 18-home Dunkirk Farm in Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, and 27-home Shepherds Row in Runcorn are already fully occupied.

New resident Paul Stoneham recently moved to Dunkirk Farm with his young son and says the new house has changed their lives. He had been bidding for properties on Cheshire Homechoice for nearly a year, and was eventually offered a two-bedroom house while the developmentwas still being built.

They previously lived in private rented accommodation in a run-down area that was in very poor condition, which took its toll on their physical and mental health. The move marks a turning point for the pair, who have been through a stressful few years.

“The new house is just brilliant and it has taken a huge weight off my shoulders,” Paul says. “We’ve been so lucky – I never in my life expected we’d get a new build, and I never want to move again. I open the curtains now and see fields and cows, my little boy can go out and play and have fun in safety. We have a lovely warm home and can have a nice, happy family life.

Work has recently begun on new sites in the L8 area of Liverpool. In Wellington Place round the corner from our Park Road office, ten cottage flats are being built for affordable rent and are expected to be completed in Spring next year; in South Grove in Dingle, a complex of 6 new homes and 12 flats are on course to be ready next summer.
