Summer recruitment drive for Plus Dane’s Graduate Scheme

10.07.2017

This summer, Plus Dane Housing is recruiting five new graduates in roles across the organisation.

The new Graduate Scheme, in partnership with The GEM programme, is designed to provide the successful candidates with the tools for a career in housing, including a fully funded qualification recognised by the Chartered Institute of Housing, top quality coaching and mentoring support, and on the job learning.

Plus Dane, a housing association with more than 13,500 properties throughout Merseyside and Cheshire, is committed to recruiting and nurturing early talent.

It is offering graduate positions in its housing, development, business assurance and asset management teams.

The salary for each is £20,000 plus a fully funded place on the GEM Programme, including all training, travel and accommodation costs.

Plus Dane’s commitment to training and development opportunities for those starting out on their careers or embarking on something new is now part of the policy direction of the organisation. It is currently recruiting 12 new apprentices across the business, following on from an intake of 18 apprentices in 2016.

Last year, Plus Dane joined The 5% Club – an industry-led campaign in which member strive to ensure 5% of their workforce consists of a mixture of apprentices, sponsored students, and graduates on formalised training schemes.

Plus Dane’s Director of HR Jo Tracey said: “Plus Dane is delighted to launch our summer Graduate Scheme and start our search for the brightest and best new talent in housing. We recognise the need to provide genuine, meaningful employment opportunities for people whether they are taking their first step on the career ladder or looking to train in something completely different.”

Liverpool City Region Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram said: “In my Manifesto I was clear that our future prosperity is ultimately dependent on our ability to develop a well-qualified and highly skilled workforce. This is one of our biggest challenges, so it is good to see a business such as Plus Dane take the recruitment of local apprentices and graduates so seriously. We all need to harness the energy and creativity of our young people for the future of the City Region.”
