Alarm & Support Service

We all need a little extra help from time to time – and our Forget-me-Not service is there to support you.

The service allows you to choose the help and products that are right for your needs, from telecare to personal emergency equipment. Lots of different services and products are available – and all of them can provide you and your loved ones with extra levels of reassurance, independence and safety within your own home.

And don’t forget, these services and products are not only available to our tenants – but also to people who own their own homes, or live in private rented accommodation.

What is available?

  • Telecare – this uses a small alarm unit that plugs into your phone. When the red button is pressed it will make a call through to our operator who will speak to you over the unit and will contact the services you need, whether that’s the emergency services, our local response team, or your nominated family member or friend (this will depend on the service level you choose).

  • 24/7 mobile response - If you fall and are uninjured our team can also provide a dignity-saving lifting service using our specially approved equipment.

  • Professional Support – a health and wellbeing visit based on your individual needs.

  • Personal emergency equipment - additional products including fall detectors, epilepsy sensors, and easy to use mobile phones to name just a few.

How does it work?

Our team will carry out an assessment of your needs – we are happy to include your family, friends or carers in deciding what equipment or services are best for you.

If you wish we can install most equipment immediately or arrange a date to suit you.

All calls for assistance are answered by our control centre who is a TSA Platinum Member. This means they meet strict performance criteria on the time it takes to answer your call.

We have our own 24/7 local team that can respond to your medical emergency if this is the level of service you have chosen, and if you need it they will have the lifting equipment with them.

Depending on the level of service you choose our local staff will visit you either monthly or six monthly for a health and wellbeing check, to perform an equipment test and update any of your details that may have changed.
