Free adult learning courses for Congleton residents

Plus Dane Housing has teamed up with Macclesfield College to offer a range of adult learning opportunities, free to all Congleton residents.

This will include taster sessions, short courses, and accredited qualifications in a range of subjects including IT, catering, customer service, retail, taxi driving, first aid, family learning and more.

It all starts in the new year at the Bromley Farm Wellbeing Hub in Parnell Square, and before then there are two informal drop-in sessions in December for people to come along and find out what’s happening.

They will take place on Tuesday, December 4 and Tuesday, December 11 between 10am and 12pm. Refreshments and cakes will be provided, and staff from Macclesfield College will be there to answer any questions.

These adult learning opportunities are available to Plus Dane tenants and residents who want to develop their skills and employment prospects, whether currently out of work or looking for new opportunities.

Our strategic partnerships manager Usman Ashiq said: “it’s great to be working with our colleagues at Macclesfield College to help bring a variety of adult learning opportunities to local residents. These opportunities are ideal for people who want help with improving their job prospects, or want to further develop their career by completing recognised qualifications.

“Equally, residents who want to learn something new for personal development reasons are also encouraged to take part. There’s lots of exciting opportunities on offer so we look forward to discussing these with residents at the two drop-in sessions.”
