GiveGetGo pre-employment training for tenants
Plus Dane Housing is offering its tenants in Merseyside free ‘pre-employment’ training to help people back into work.
GiveGetGo is a new programme aiming to link tenants and customers looking for work with volunteering opportunities, training, and employers.
Plus Dane is working in partnership with the Transform Lives Company, with ten places up for grabs on the 12-week course designed to boost confidence, communication and presentation skills, offer support with job searches, and link to employers with genuine job opportunities. Participants will get the chance to take up volunteering placements with high profile employers in the city, such as the University of Liverpool, St George’s Hall and Everton Football Club.
The course starts on June 7, and to encourage people to sign up Plus Dane is hosting two drop-in information sessions on Tuesday, May 24 at the Liverpool University Student Guild between 10am - 12pm and 1pm - 3pm.
For more information, Plus Dane tenants can contact neighbourhood engagement officer Lisa Cover on 0151 703 2011 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
Attendees in receipt of benefits will not be affected by taking part in GiveGetGo, and travel expenses will be refunded for the duration of the training and on the open day.
GiveGetGo is delivered in partnership with the University of Liverpool and OneArk.
