Paid work placements in Cheshire East

15.04.2021

We have a variety of paid work placements available in the Cheshire East area as part of the Kickstart scheme for young people, and are encouraging our customers and their families to apply.

Anyone aged 16 to 24 who is unemployed and claiming Universal Credit is eligible, as part of a government scheme taking steps to prevent long term unemployment in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Kickstart placements are designed to help young people develop their skills and experience needed to find work, through valuable six month job placements. The roles are for 25 hours a week and offer a living wage, holiday entitlements and access to training and wraparound support.

As part of this, we are looking for four grounds maintenance workers, a sheltered scheme co-ordinator and a sheltered scheme administrator, all based in the Cheshire East area. All positions will pay the National Living Wage, and the closing date for applications is May 3.

Our Strategic Partnership Manager Usman Ashiq, said: “Kickstart placements are a great way for young people to get on the career ladder, and we are proud to be supporting the scheme by offering a number of paid roles to young people in our communities - we are especially keen to hear from our tenants and their family members. Help is also available in applying for placements, so please get in touch.

Anyone interested in applying for our Kickstart placements can contact Usman on 07436 548467 for more information or help with the application process.

The recruitment process and all placements will adhere to the latest Covid safety requirements. We may also be able to signpost similar work opportunities with partner organisations.
