Plus Dane supporting people back into work on UK Employability Day

We are shining a spotlight on the support on offer to individuals looking for work, as part of UK Employability Day (29th June).

We're proud to have pledged our support to the annual event which aims to raise awareness of the various services that people seeking to get back into employment can access for support.

Emma Sneyd, Head of Engagement at Plus Dane Housing, said: “Employment support services are designed to move people towards or into work. There are a great many different services on offer that could directly help someone in their search for employment like interview practice and CV support, skills training, qualifications, digital skills and apprenticeships. It also includes things like confidence building, talking therapies and management of health conditions or disabilities. Across Merseyside we work with support providers like Everton in the Community, GiveGetGo and Antrec and across Cheshire we work with support providers like Remploy and the Young Women’s Trust.”

Information about what support is available to individuals who are out of work or in low-paid employment is available on the ‘Work and Training’ section of our website. Visitors to the site can also fill out a form to request a call back from a member of our team to discuss their own support needs in more detail.

Emma Sneyd continued: “It is important we increase understanding of what employment support exists amongst employers helping people into work and jobseekers working hard to find employment. This is an opportunity for us to encourage people in our communities to take advantage of the services available on their doorstep.”
