Positive Lifeology for Plus Dane tenants
We are backing a new programme to help tenants face the future, feel better about themselves and get ready for work.
Positive Lifeology aims to help people make changes to their lives, combat stress and anxiety, and improve confidence and self-esteem.
The ten week personal development course, presented by Transform Lives Company, is open to tenants of Plus Dane and Onward Homes. One course is currently underway at the L6 Centre in Everton, Liverpool, and a second will begin in Castlefields in Runcorn in June.
Positive Lifeology is specialist training that offers a different kind of approach, helping people who feel ready to make a change, to build up their confidence to start looking for new opportunities in life and consider whether employment could be an option for the future.
Our partnerships manager Usman Ashiq said: “We have worked with Transform Lives Company for a number of years now with great results. They have a fantastic record of helping people, including our tenants, to overcome challenges and move onto something more positive. If you want to feel better about the future and be ready for what life throws at you - this is the course for you.”
Lauren from Transform Lives Company says: “Positive Lifeology offers a journey of self-discovery, as well as offering new ways of thinking positively. We aim for participants on the course to continue their journey, and get involved with a follow-on programme that works towards finding meaningful employment. We’ve lots of proof this approach really works!”
The course takes place once a week for ten weeks, and helps people develop the tools to become more resilient, set goals, develop a positive mindset, and manage feelings of stress and anxiety.
Participants are supported even after the end of the course, whether or not they are ready to look for work or volunteering opportunities straight away.
