Success for third Live Local Work Local
The third Live Local Work Local skills and employment fair took place in Ellesmere Port, with organisers hailing another successful event.
Hosted by Plus Dane Housing and Cheshire West and Chester Council at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall, it was attended by hundreds of people looking for work and training opportunities.
Dozens of established local, national and international businesses operating in the area, including Pizza Hut, Debenhams, Regatta, and Cheshire Constabulary were present to promote available employment opportunities.
Organisations like the Princes Trust and local training providers were on hand too, with help and advice for those looking to start up in business or work towards new qualifications.
Justin Madders MP and Mayor of Ellesmere Port Cllr Peter Rooney were among the dignitaries who paid a visit to support the event.
More than 130 job applications were made on the day, with attendees giving positive feedback on the help and advice available to them.
Kate Jungnitz, Plus Dane director for Ellesmere Port and Neston, said: “Live Local Work Local has become one of the highlights of our events calendar, and every year we are proud to see not only how much hard work goes into making it happen, but the many positive outcomes of the day.”
