Volunteers needed for money advice charity


A money advice charity is looking for volunteers to help people in the Liverpool city region get the help they need.

RAISE provides free, confidential advice and training around welfare and benefits, debt, and money management issues, and they specialise in helping housing association tenants, including Plus Dane customers.

They are looking for ‘New Horizon volunteers’ to be the first point of contact for people who call for help. Volunteers need to be comfortable using the telephone and be able to input information into a computer as well as supporting advisors with basic admin tasks. Full training will be given, as well as support to help realise personal goals like getting back into work or training. Volunteers don’t need any qualifications, but do need to be friendly, caring and supportive. The hours are flexible according to circumstances.
