We understand that the increases in general living costs will be having an impact on your household budget.
Energy costs have been increasing steadily in recent times and are set to increase further once the price cap is raised in spring 2022. The price cap sets the limit on what energy providers can charge and this is set to go up in April. This is set by Government and is not something that we have any control or influence over.
At the end of February, we will be writing to customers to set out your charges for the coming year, 2022-23. As you are a shared owner, your rent will be increasing in line with the terms of your lease. It is important that you pay your rent and do not fall into arrears
Plus Dane uses your rent to cover the cost of the mortgage that we pay on the percentage equity of your home that you do not yet own. We then reinvest what is leftover into developing more shared ownership properties to enable more people to take their first step onto the property ladder.
