Plus Dane Housing is continuing our successful partnership with Alsager Community Support!
Alsager Community Support is a registered charity that supports more than 3000 people a year in the town and its surrounding areas, with things like cost of living issues, wellbeing and befriending services, welfare advice, and community signposting.
Our partnership means we work together on joint projects and activities for the benefit of Plus Dane customers.
There have been great outcomes over the last financial year - between May 2024 and April 2025, ACS gave benefit advice to more than 50 Plus Dane customers. Support has included such things as general benefits checks, legal issues, and referrals to other organisations, as well as income maximisation - ACS helped Plus Dane customers secure nearly £185,000 in potential benefits.
Usman Ashiq, partnerships manager at Plus Dane, said: “At Plus Dane, we provide tailored support services to help customers improve their wellbeing, save money on their household bills, access employment and training opportunities and much more. Working together with Alsager Community Support has allowed us to help even more people in ways that have really made a difference, and we look forward to continuing a great working relationship.”

With the ongoing cost of living crisis, many households are facing much higher cost of living pressures, and it’s vital that free, confidential help and advice is there when it’s needed most. Our partnership with Plus Dane over the past year has been fantastic, and we’re delighted to continue this collaboration so we can support even more people locally in the future.”
ACS is based on Crewe Road in Alsager, and people can drop in or call their telephone helpline from Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 12.30pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 1pm to 4pm.
