We have renewed our partnerships with two local providers of employment and training support, as part of our commitment to helping customers into work.
We work with Liverpool in Work and Cheshire-based Springboard to help customers across our communities.
The two organisations help support people looking for work and training opportunities, with everything from CV writing to gaining qualifications. Last year, collectively the organisations assisted 104 Plus Dane customers to access suitable employment and nationally-recognised training opportunities, and they are looking forward to helping more customers throughout 2025.
For those over 16, living in Liverpool, and looking to improve their skills or change career path, Liverpool In Work offers a range of tailor-made opportunities. Through apprenticeships, training programmes, job clubs, and personalised one-to-one support, they can help people gain the skills and confidence necessary to re-enter the workforce or advance in their current career.
Springboard is open to anyone aged 18 and above in Cheshire and Warrington who is unemployed and has the right to work in the United Kingdom. They provide specialised one-on-one support to help Plus Dane customers access nationally recognised qualifications and build sustainable careers, including careers advice, confidence building, skills audits, one-on-one mentoring, CV support, interview practice, job search assistance, help with application forms, specialist qualifications, and in-work support.
Additionally, Plus Dane customers can benefit from a variety of extra training opportunities, including digital skills, functional skills (Maths and English), construction skills, emergency first aid, and ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages).
Emma Sneyd, pleased that we will be continuing to work in partnership with Springboard and Liverpool in Work.
“As a social landlord it is important for us to work with the right employment support partners who can help customers unlock their potential, improve their confidence and give them the skills and guidance to succeed.”
Adele Cook, Managing Director of Springboard, said, “It’s a privilege to continue delivering our targeted programme in partnership with Plus Dane. Our aim is to engage residents with employment-focused support services. The primary objective of our project is to empower tenants to move closer to the labour market by giving them access to bespoke employability support, training courses, and recognised qualifications.
“Our services are designed to help individuals overcome barriers to work, improve their skills, and build confidence—ultimately supporting them in gaining sustainable employment or progressing within their current roles.”
Lisa Jones from Liverpool in Work said: “We have been working in partnership with Plus Dane since 2018 and have successfully delivered advice and guidance to Plus Dane customers looking for work, training or volunteering. Liverpool in Work offers one-to-one support to local residents and is there to continue to support you once you have secured the job that you have always wanted.
“We are delighted to once again be selected as a provider of employment and skills for another year, and we will continue to develop our service to meet the needs of both employers and service users.”
