We have secured funding from the Heat Network Efficiency Scheme (HNES) to make energy efficiency improvements to 22 homes in Runcorn.
Almost £75,000 will go towards efficiency improvements at our Conwy Court scheme of apartments. The project will involve upgrades to the communal boiler room and new heat interface units in each property for better monitoring and remote-control capabilities, improving network insulation, and installing heat meters.
For us, it is not just a matter of sustainability and improvements towards the UK’s net zero goals. We also hope the new systems will save both the business and customers money, through lower energy bills; savings could also be passed on to the service charges payable as residents in a communal scheme.
Chris Roberts, sustainability manager at Plus Dane, said: “We were delighted to be successful in securing the funding from the HNES for this project, which will make a real difference to the customers of Conwy Court by making their homes warmer and more energy efficient. Not only that, they will hopefully see savings in their bills as a result.”
Work on the scheme, carried out by partner organisation Switch2, is scheduled to start in Late August 2025 and is expected to take 6-8 weeks.
