We have turned a floor of our Congleton offices into a Wellbeing Hub, bringing together a wide range of specialists in mental health and wellbeing support.
The top floor of our Shepherds Mill headquarters has been repurposed into a vibrant space that will bring together nearly 20 partners to help improve outcomes for local people.
The Wellbeing Hub was officially opened this week by Congleton town mayor cllr Kay Wesley, Plus Dane chief executive Ian Reed and Kate Little, chief executive of CVS Cheshire East, in a special launch event.
Plus Dane colleagues and wellbeing partners were also invited to preview the offices, enjoy some refreshments and connect. Partners will start working from the hub as part of a phased approach to its opening over the coming weeks.
The vibrant, welcoming space was painted and decorated by our partner contractor Bell Group, incorporating positive mottos on the walls and refreshing the area with a calming green colour scheme.
Plus Dane chief executive Ian Reed said: “The real strength of this initiative is creating a place where people can come together, working together for our customers and our communities.
“There is a high volume of organisations doing great work in Congleton who have struggled to find somewhere to work from - we are really pleased to be able to do something to help plug that gap with the Wellbeing Hub, and I am looking forward to seeing everybody in the space.”
A collaborative steering group of partners will shape the hub moving forward, and the organisations will share data, insight and knowledge to improve services together.
Mayor Wesley said: “There is a fantastic group of organisations in Congleton helping people struggling with their mental health and wellbeing. Having everyone in the same building will help to foster relationships and create customer-centric services to improve the lives of the people of Congleton.”
Kate Little, chief executive of Community & Voluntary Services Cheshire East, said: “Times are changing in our sector, and collaboration is the way forward. The Wellbeing Hub is an excellent example of how people can work together for the benefit of their communities.”
