Plus Dane Housing is launching a special community fund to mark its 50th anniversary year.
The Golden Community Impact Fund, the idea of new Chair Max Steinberg, will offer 50 x £1000 grants to support its local communities to do great things.
It will be open to initiatives already in progress that would welcome a financial boost, or new ideas that could bring some further vibrancy to one of Plus Dane’s neighbourhoods.
Criteria to apply will be kept to a minimum to reduce any barriers for those applying, and all grants need to be allocated before the March 2026 deadline.
Max Steinberg CBE DL, chair of Plus Dane, said: “Our 50th year is a big milestone for us, it represents a long history of our investment across Cheshire and Merseyside communities and something we wanted to mark with our customers.
“By keeping the application process straightforward, we hope to encourage as many of our customers as possible—whether individuals or community groups—to participate and take advantage of the opportunity to receive one of the fifty awards. We’re eager to hear your creative ideas and look forward to supporting the positive changes you wish to see in your communities.”
We’d love to hear from anyone who has an idea that will deliver a community impact, support a diverse range of people and encourage participation from local people.
Applicants must be a customer of Plus Dane or a local community group based in a Plus Dane neighbourhood, and the initiative must be for the benefit of the local community. Priority will be given to applicants who have not been able to access other funds.
