The Bromley Farm Wellbeing Hub celebrated ten years in the community with a family fun day.
The hub, on Parnell Square in Congleton, has been at the heart of the Bromley Farm neighbourhood for a decade. The building is owned by Plus Dane and activities are run by local volunteers and organisations including Change Grow Live, myCWA, Pure Insight, and CE Family hubs.
There’s a wide range of free support services for local people from Monday to Friday, including friendship groups, a luncheon club, stay and play sessions for parents and young children, cookery classes, wellbeing peer support groups and the hub is also the base for the Bromley Bloomers gardening club.
Plus Dane also supports the regular residents forum there, and the Bromley Hub Committee group which welcomes residents views to help improve the health and wellbeing of the Bromley Farm neighbourhood.
The 10th birthday event invited all Bromley Farm residents to enjoy free food and entertainment, family-friendly fun, and opportunities to connect with friends and neighbours.
Emma Sneyd, head of social impact at Plus Dane, said: “It is fantastic to see the Bromley Farm Wellbeing Hub celebrate ten years. It has been a great space for the community to meet and support each other, and it continues to grow. Congratulations to the volunteers and partners who have given their time and have worked alongside us to provide much-needed resources that have made a big difference to the area.”
Cllr Kay Wesley, Chair of Congleton Town Council’s Community Committee, said: “Many thanks to Plus Dane and all the Bromley Farm Hub Group volunteers who organised this celebration, as well as the partners who provided activities and entertainment.
“It was a lovely fun-packed day, in spite of the occasional shower, and I was delighted to see Parnell Square packed with local residents of all ages enjoying themselves. This is exactly the type of neighbourhood event that makes Congleton such a great place to live. Happy 10th birthday to the Wellbeing Hub!”
