Cheshire Community Foundation is the latest organisation to set up a base at our Congleton Wellbeing Hub. This presence enables community groups and organisations to connect with the foundation for valuable advice and guidance on funding.
The foundation is launching a dedicated fund for Congleton on 6th November. Fund development manager Marie Taylor works across Congleton and Macclesfield in a newly-created role has been supported in part by Plus Dane.
The Congleton Fund will bring together local people, businesses and charities to tackle some of the most urgent challenges facing residents, and support high-impact local charities that are helping people in Congleton and the surrounding area to thrive. The Fund aims to be able to offer grants to grassroots level charities in the town from next year.
Usman Ashiq, strategic partnerships manager at Plus Dane said: “We’re delighted to welcome Cheshire Community Foundation to the Wellbeing Hub, and look forward to building on a partnership that we believe will be of real benefit to the community.”
Marie Taylor, development manager of the Congleton Fund, said: “I’m delighted to be able to work from the Hub each week, enabling grassroots organisations to get advice and build their networks without trekking across the county. We’re excited to launch the Congleton Fund in November; there are some great projects here that make a huge difference to people’s lives. We want to make sure they can carry on, do more, and that local donations go where they’re needed most.”
The Congleton Wellbeing Hub, based in our Shepherds Mill offices, provides hot desking space and private meeting rooms that are used by a wide range of Congleton-based mental health and wellbeing organisations and their clients.
