We're introducing Home Quality Assessments, the new name for stock condition surveys.
If your home is selected, we'll contact you directly by letter and text message to arrange a convenient appointment.
If you haven't heard from us, there's nothing you need to do right now.
Home Quality Assessments help us plan future improvements and make sure your home remains a safe place to live.
These assessments form part of your tenancy agreement, so if your home is selected, we'll ask you to provide access for Plus Dane or our approved partners to complete the visit.
Why do I need a home quality assessment?
Plus Dane, as a social housing provider and your Landlord, is required to undertake an assessment survey to make sure our homes, your home, meet the Decent Homes Standard, which is a legal requirement for all housing associations in the UK.
The information gathered on the survey helps us plan future investment programmes for things such as bathrooms, kitchens, roofs, windows and doors and more importantly, it is also designed to make sure your home is a warm, safe place to live.
What to expect during a survey:
What we will be checking:
If we are unable to access your home to carry out this quality assessment survey it could mean that you miss out on upcoming investment programmes, or investment in your home is delayed and deferred to a future programme.
This assessment is also important in keeping you safe, there is a clause within your tenancy agreement explaining that you must allow Plus Dane or our approved partners into your home to complete them.
We only need access to your home for a short time to complete an assessment of the condition and make sure your home is safe. If you have any concerns or feel anxious about letting anyone from Plus Dane into your home, please get in touch so we can support you.
You don't need to book a survey appointment. Wait for us to contact you about your survey. We will plan your survey when your home is next due to be assessed, and then we will be in touch.
