We have been awarded the LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge!
Plus Dane has been given ‘Pledge Pioneer’ status in recognition of our commitment to supporting customers who are part of the LGBTQ+ community.
The LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge is an accreditation initiative by networking group HouseProud, delivered by Stonewall Housing.
Pledge Pioneer is the first level, and in order to achieve this we submitted evidence in meeting three core commitments: involving LGBTQ+ residents in decision-making, increasing LGBTQ+ visibility, and providing relevant staff training.
Chris Morris, executive director for Customer, Communities and Homes, said: “We are so pleased to have achieved HouseProud’s Pledge Pioneer status. We are committed to listening to the needs of our customers in the LGBTQ+ community and making sure they know we are here to support them.”
LGBTQ+ Housing Pledge Coordinator Jack Mason said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Plus Dane Housing on their LGBTQ+ inclusion journey over the last couple of years, and we look forward to continuing to support the organisation as it embeds LGBTQ+ voices, promotes visibility and provides training and development that builds confidence for both staff and residents."
