We have appointed Fiona Smith as our new director of Governance and Assurance.
She comes to us from Merseyside Police, and will start in her new role in May.
Fiona has a wealth of experience in governance, assurance, performance and risk across the public and charity sectors, including 12 years with homelessness charity Crisis, and roles in the prison and probation services.
She is also currently a trustee of the Longleigh Foundation, a grant-making organisation dedicated to improving the lives of housing association residents across the UK.
Fiona joins Plus Dane at an exciting time in the development of our next corporate plan.
Fiona said: “My career has been dedicated to the charity and public sectors, driven by a deep commitment to social purpose and a particular passion for housing and homelessness. I am delighted to have the opportunity to bring my experience and strategic leadership to support Plus Dane in strengthening its regulatory compliance, enhancing its governance arrangements and delivering its strategic ambitions.”
Chief executive Ian Reed said: “I’m delighted to welcome Fiona to Plus Dane. She is a values-driven leader and brings a strong track record across governance, assurance and public service alongside a deep understanding of the housing sector, and will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our governance.”
