Our partners at renewable heating specialists Next Energy will install 50 solar panels on one of our community centres, as part of its commitment to social value.
It’s a commitment that forms part of its contract with us, as we encourages partner contractors to contribute to our social value aims- delivering greater improvement to the economy, society and the environment of our neighbourhoods.
Work will get underway next week to install the solar panels at Treetop Court Community Centre in Kensington, Liverpool.
The installation will be provided at no cost to Plus Dane or customers, and is intended to help reduce energy costs for the community centre by generating clean, renewable electricity.
Next Energy has worked with us in recent years to deliver a range of retrofitting projects across hundreds of homes that have made them more efficient to heat, cheaper to run, and helped combat damp and mould issues.
Our sustainability manager Chris Roberts said: “Our partnership with Next Energy has been absolutely crucial in recent years to helping us make our homes more efficient and work towards our net zero goals, and we’ve had brilliant results. We want to thank Next for their generous donation and installation of 50 solar panels at Treetop Court Community Centre – it will make a huge difference, and we are incredibly grateful to the team.”
Lee Thomas from Next Energy said: “We hope this additional investment will provide a lasting benefit for the community centre and support the wider Treetop Court community.”
