Marie is a Chartered Town Planner, is a Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Urban Design Group and holds a Master of Civic Design from the University of Liverpool. She has extensive experience in all aspects of planning and regeneration, has held several senior public sector positions and led and transformed several planning and regeneration teams.
She has also led the delivery of several major growth and regeneration schemes in the North West and West Midlands. Having retired from her role as Assistant Director Growth and Housing at Wigan Council she now works as a consultant advising public sector organisations on the development and delivery of inclusive, sustainable growth.
Marie’s key specialisms include the development and implementation of planning, transport, housing and regeneration policy and strategy into the delivery of sustainable places.
Marie is a previous Chair of the North West Branch of the RTPI and has served on several professional committees. I addition she has been a Board Member of several housing Associations prior to joining Plus Dane Board.
